Description: Antique English Floral Gaudy Welsh Soft Paste Porcelain Tea Cup & Saucer C.1830 Nice antique British bone china / soft paste porcelain tea cup and saucer in the Gaudy Welsh or Gaudy Dutch style. With hand painted cobalt and and copper luster with red flowers and green leaves. With a border of cobalt blue with pink luster overlay and red and green floral designs. Unmarked. Circa 1830 to 1840s. Has some overall fine crazing, some minor wear to the pink luster, and some minor staining of the type that may soak out to the inside of the cup and darker stain to the base of the cup. There is also a very small in manufacture firing separation to the lip of the cup. Otherwise good condition with on chips or cracks. The cup measures approximately 4 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/2 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 5/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. BRBX
