Description: Interesting finial not sure of its exact purpose, I have had this in a box for years, I wasn't sure if the two pieces went together, But the finish seems to match and there are 2 nail holes under the top piece and they seem to align when set on a 45 degree. Classic Eastlake don't make it square, but you could if it fit your project better. 6" tall the widest point the top is 3-7/8" across, mounting hole for a dowel is 3/4" and wood appears to be walnut. The dark brown applied finish like they use to use on early painted furniture is worn, note the top piece still has traces of the detail black paint. Interesting period finial. 1lb shipping weight
