Description: This is an antique miners, hanging safety lamp / lantern, possibly French or German produced around late 1800s to early 1900s. Appears to be made of brass and is complete with the glass as shown. It iappearsto be in excellent antique condition, including no cracks in the glass, or breaks the mesh. Seems to be in good working condition however there is no wick if there’s supposed to be one it does need polishing. I did not clean it for fear of possibly messing something up, so I’ll leave that to the buyer. Measures about 6”. Fantastic piece of miner’s or maritime history!
