Description: For sale is an Antique early 19th century blown in Mold clear glass decanter in great antique condition. Please see reference book for a late 18th century decanter in similar form. This particular one features diamond design with the original sunburst stopper, likely molded by Keene Glasswork. The base contains a crude unpolished pontil mark. Bubbles and minor impurities exist due to manufacturing process. These imperfections are a characteristic of early American glass. No damages of any kind is found. Sunburst pattern stopper is also old and likely original. The decanter measures approximately 8” tall with the stopper, and about 4” wide at the widest point. There is no chips, nicks, or cracks that I can find. Age appropriate wears and manufacturer imperfections (bubbles, swirls) are to be expected. Clean. No content haze. Please check all photos for detailed condition. Overall, a wonderful and authentic early 19th century American free blown glass decanter. Rare to find! Feel free to check out my other antique and collectible listings. I gladly combine shipping whenever practical.
