Description: For sale we have a scarce near attic condition EAPG Bryce, Higbee & Co. Menagerie Child's Figural Bear Mustard Pot. The beautiful bear is in a rich alluring sky or ice blue coloration which shimmers when displaying. This bear has it's original matching top or lid with a opening on the back for a spreading knife or spoon. This bear has a excellent strong mold and defined impression. We date this to the mid 1800's. This bear was part of a novelty child's set. This is a fresh to the market example in excellent original untouched condition. The spoon or spreading knife opening on the back of the bears head is in very nice condition with no issues. The entire container is in excellent condition with no roughness on the bears ears, nose or paws. The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, scratches or scuffs and no stains or alterations. We only see but mostly feel a flick in the inner ledge of the bears head and we see a bit of base wear. The metal or plated spreading knife has no issues and fits perfectly with the bear. The back of the knife is embossed with Germany. This is a nice untouched original example. This example would make a great upgrade or addition to a set of Higbee's children's figural animal novelties collection. This would also be a great addition to a figural or general bear collection.
