Description: Antique Doulton & Slaters Patent Red Green & White Floral Beige & Blue Vase Nice antique vase with blue on the top and bottom. Beige center with raised white, red, and green enamel floral designs with gold daubs. Gold bands above and below the center and gold gilding along the rim. Marked on the reverse with a impressed lion on a crown above Royal Doulton England. Also marked Doulton & Slaters Patent on the base. This was a process which involves the use of lace fabrics impressed into the surface of clay as a decorative technique. The patent was granted in 1882 in England and 1885 in the US. It is also marked JE Caldwell & Co Philadelphia with the US patent number below. The Royal Doulton mark was used between 1902 and 1922. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 5 1/4 inches wide x 10 3/4 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
