Description: Offered here is a beautiful antique handmade crochet lace for straps and bodice used for chemise, nightgown or petticoat. It measures 12” from shoulder tip to shoulder tip, 11” across the bottom 3-1/2” deep on the back and 3” on the front. The neck edging could be laced with ribbon if so desired. I purchased this piece several years ago at a local farm estate. The family member said it was made by “Granny” in early 1900’s and had been in the clothes press for more than 100 years. There are the remnants of old satin bows on the apex of each shoulder.
