Made in England, most likely by Sunderland, it features a stunning blue band pattern and floral relief that was hand painted. Metallic luster on pottery was obtained by firing a copper-salt glaze that was applied to the pottery surface. Copper lusterware was made by a wide variety of potters in England from about 1820 to 1850, mostly for the mass market and its highly collectable. Measurements and condition shown in pictures. There is some paint chipping on floral design.
