Description: This is a stunning antique bowl. It came from a large Asian antiques collection in Lafayette. Take a look at all the photos just in general condition. There is a small chip at the foot in the glazing itself, since it went over a little bit onto the foot. This item is definitely very old, but it is very hard to see exactly how old it is. I was told that this is most likely either Indonesian or Thai in origin, but it could also possibly be Chinese. All the information that I found online says that it is most likely between the 16th and 17th century. It is somewhat crude, but also beautiful at the same time with its imperfections. Quite a unique item and things like this really don’t come up for sale very often.
