Description: This is a lovely original Antique Ming Period Porcelain Wine Cup from China produced during the later stages of the Ming Dynasty. This type of porcelain was produced in China principally for export to the large number of Chinese Communities scattered through Southeast Asia and is sometimes called Chinese Trade Pottery. The cup dates from the 17th Century and was purchased by my father & myself in Penang, Malaysia during the period he owned an Asian antique shop on the island in the 1970's to early 1980's. He only purchased from reputable local dealers who sourced their inventory from locals living on the island. Please review the pictures thoroughly in regards to the overall quality of this item and make particular reference to my Condition Description above & below: Condition Description: The Wine Cup is in Fine Condition with the following three exceptions: 1) The piece is chipped / cracked on the bottom base rim 2) There is a small Kiln Mark gap next to the bottom base rim chip / crack 3) There is also a noticeable Kiln Mark & pin sized Kiln marks on the bottom inside of the Wine Cup.
