(50cm), W 9 in. (22.5cm), D 8 in. (20cm)Condition: excellent!A fine Dehua porcelain Guan Yin in exquisite fine details- The Bodhisattva of Compassion is gracefully seated in Padmasana asana above a high throne with four rows of lotus petals. Her serene facial features convey a contemplative countenance that renders an enlightened state. The goddess is cloaked in symmetric Tang-style attire, wearing an Amitabha Buddha crown embellished with pearls and roses. She is adorned with strings of necklaces, bracelets, and a floating celestial cape with pronounced floral motifs. She has a vase of immortal nectar in her left hand, while a wisdom pearl in her raised right hand is held in two delicately articulated fingers. With great care taken in every detail, the Bodhisattva is brilliantly evoked in this spectacular Blanc de Chine statue. The porcelain figure is speckled with hand-sculpted tool marks on the interior. Along with the Dehua gourd mark and seal of the Porcelain Master He Chaozong 何朝宗印, leaving no doubt that this is a work of art from the Fujian 福建 kiln of the earlier years.*Authenticity Guaranteed.
