Description: Antique cloisonné palace floor vase with removeable top. Double dragon handles near top. Squared baluster shape with a pair of mythical creatures as the feet. This comes from the estate of a wealthy Dallas socialite. No provenance available. No signatures or stamps, likely from around the turn of the century. The base is bronze with tight cells and finely applied polychrome enamels with multiple design motifs. The primary design is “Greek key” like with foliate accents. Base color is turquoise ground, secondary colors are oxblood red and cobalt. The interior has some wear and staining consistent with age. Numerous photos provided and more available upon request. You can view in person at Snider Plaza Antiques in Dallas. Condition - overall very fine especially considering age. There are some pin head sized enamel losses (see last several photos for examples of these minor losses). The right dragon handle is missing one screw and is somewhat loose. We did not perform any cleaning on the vase as we will leave that to new owners. This piece is bulky and VERY HEAVY. Vase Size is 39” H x 16” W. Custom carved wood base is 14” W x 14” D x 6” H. Overall size for vase with stand exceeds 45”. Shipping quoted at flat rate, should suffice for lower 48 states. May have to crate and ship via truck. Additional shipping charges for Hawaii, Alaska and overseas. Local pick up available in Dallas Tx.
