This is an antique c1930's English "Garrard" Westminster chiming mantel clock with silence. This is in outstanding condition and is in full working order. It has a beautiful walnut body with decorative Art Deco inlay of various wood types to the front. The walnut case has a medium brown coloured finish with a darker visible grain and a soft subtle shine. The face is circular in shape with a silver coloured metal chapter ring, black coloured numerals and black coloured hands. The to right of the number three is the chime/silence selector lever (fully functional). The face is protected by a circular convex glass door with a chromed metal bezel. The glass is in excellent condition with no scratches, chips or cracks. To the rear is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact in excellent condition. This chimes at quarter past the hour, half past the hour, quarter to the hour and on the hour. On the hour it also chimes the number of hours. This comes complete with its original pendulum and original key. The clock was cleaned and services on the 1st November 2024.
