Description: Antique c1890 Hanau German 800 Silver Hand Chased Tea Set Creamer and Sugar BowlPresented is an antique, German silver creamer and sugar bowl for a tea set/service made by Simon Rosenau of Hanau during the late 1800s or possibly the very early 1900s. The sugar bowl is done in a nice basket form, with a swing handle. Both pieces are decorative, with rounded panels that are hand chased and engraved with flowers and leaves. The underside of each piece bears Simon Rosenau's hallmarks. The pieces are guaranteed to be at least 800 purity silver. The creamer measures 3 1/2 inches from handle to spout and is 2 3/4 inches tall. This set is in excellent overall condition for its age. There is minor surface wear commensurate with age and use, but no damages and no repairs.The sugar bowl measures 3 inches in diameter and is 2 1/8 inches tall. Total weight: 173 grams.
