The clock dates to circa 1880.This is a super quality piece with its case made from heavy brass. The dial is nicely set out with Roman Numerals and there is a subsidiary second dial and above 'XII' there is the lever to regulate the clock. Also over the dial is a lovely piece of thick bevelled glass which sets it off beautifully. The movement is lovely and clean having recently been cleaned and serviced and as such is happily ticking away. Overall a superb quality chain fusee ships / marine clock. The clock is complete with it's winding key.DIMENSIONS:The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are :- 9 1/2 inches / 24 cm diameter across the case- 8 inches / 20.5 cm diameter across the dial.- 4 3/4 inches / 12 cm deep CONDITION:The clock is in good working order and the case is in lovely condition. The movement is lovely and clean having recently been cleaned and serviced and the clock is happily ticking away. The brass case is in very nice condition just age related marks and odd knocks to the brass. The clock is complete with it's winding key.
