Description: Bostrom's Improved Farm Level No. 2 with the box, instruction sheet + round rod level marker. The box is intact in nice antique condition, with T&G corners and original hook latch. The instruction sheet is well aged. The plumb bob and string are included. We took the focal tube apart and cleaned the optics on the inside and applied a light coat of grease on the slide focus tube. The leveling legs work fine. There is no tripod. The female thread in the base for tripod mounting appears that it may be 5/8" acme thread, but that's not a certainty. The level assembly seems to work just fine - good glass bubble, 3 leveling screws, and easy rotation. The crosshairs are turned a tiny bit from vertical. A very nice piece of antique "technology" for display or use. We brushed the tube with vinegar to remove some surface corrosion, discoloration remains and some more cleaning/polishing may be desirable. Shop secure.
