Description: Antique Black Forest Hand Carved Wood Dog with Glass Eyes 1890s An antique Black Forest hand carved wooden dog with original glass eyes. It is stamped with a signature on the dog's neck. It is very hard to read. __MSOV __NION. Intricately carved with fine details. Note the beautiful arching tail over the dog's back. The dog somewhat resembles the Akita breed. This is an assumption and not a fact. The dog does have several toes that are chipped but overall still in very nice condition after all these years. It is 6 inches long by 5.50 inches tall by 1.50 inches thick. Please note all photos for they too are a part of our descriptions.
