ANTIQUE BISQUE GERMAN DOLL 16" TURNED HEAD KESTNER

Description: My usual basic description with all the needed details, none of the flowery sales pitch stuff. Please ask for more pictures if needed. This is a 16" Turned head Kestner. HEAD: No hairline cracks. She has a mohair brown wig. She has set brown eyes, not sure if they are original. There is a deep dimple on the chn. She does have a plaster pate but I don't know if it is original. The head is glued to the body, I can't see if there are any manufacturer marks present. This appear's to be someone's Christmas present! Someone wrote in pencil on the back:Hazel Maude 1890 Dec. 25BODY: This is a leather Lady doll body, not original to the head. It is not leaking. It is discolored with usual age related changes. The head is hot glued to it. The very tip of the left 3rd finger is chipped, the thumb on the right hand is broken off completely. CLOTHES: She has vintage half slip,underpants and chemise. I am not sure of the age of the socks. She does not have shoes. The 3 piece outfit is elaborate. It consists of bonnet, jacket and skirt. I have fashioned a bustle out of tissue to fill out the back of this. Skirt and jacket close with hooks. It is fully lined. SHIPPING Shipping is an estimate. I put in estimated total weight and package size, Ebay gives you a price based on that and the distance it will travel from Connecticut. I will ship the least expensive way possible. The package will be insured for the value paid. It is included in the shipping cost. THE BOX/PACKING WILL NOT LOOK PRETTY OR ELEGANT BUT THE CONTENTS WILL BE SECURE. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE PLASTIC MILK CARTONS, NEWSPAPERS, EMPTY FOOD PACKAGES, ETC. These all have been washed in hot soapy water and allowed to dry completely.
