Description: Beautiful 1900’s Staffordshire Imari style biscuit barrel. The barrel itself is made of porcelain and the top and handle are silver plate. The jar has no cracks, chips or breaks, although there is some staining around the base and bottom from age, see photo. The silver plate is in great antique condition. The biscuit barrel is marked on its bottom, see photo. The silver rim is also marked, see photo. The jar is decorated in the Staffordshire style with navy blue, orange and gold paint trim on a white background. The barrel measures 9” tall with the handle in the upright position by approximately 5 1/2” in diameter. This is a very old biscuit barrel and is nice for its age.
