Description: We are pleased to offer a large and lovely antique tapestry. It features a scene in on a Venice canal during Carnivale. There is a couple dancing at the center of the piece, another couple courting in the background and a young man playing a mandolin for the dancers. All are wearing formal dress and the gentlemen appear to be dressed as clowns. The trees are decorated with garlands and lanterns and there is a beautiful crescent moon lighting the scene. The colors are vibrant and it is lovely example of the art. Condition: Very good to excellent - no spots, stains, rips or tears. It is stamped: Made in Belgium on the back. Size: 38" x 39".
