Description: Gorgeous Antique Hanging Lamp A true antique gas light by FariesThe gas cocks / keys / handles are in the Faries catalog #13 from the year 1900 (part no. 1501)Electrified, with updated wiringSolid brass with a gorgeous antique patinaWorking great and looking amazingBrass sockets added and working well The antique blown glass shades are gorgeous, with no chips or cracks, and they glow under a UV light so they must have some Uranium in the glass. The brass has a beautiful patina, with no cracks or gouges in the brass - just some tiny dings in the shade holders that won't be noticed when hung and in use. The fixture uses three standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts each (or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage). Light bulbs and ceiling mount screws not included. For your shipping/planning purposes, just a note that eBay requires a signature for items of this value :) This beautiful antique is from a large antique lighting collection in Fenton, Michigan - see and watch our store for more from this fantastic collection. Here are details about the restorer: The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family's burglar alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980's: "Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales". He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #24). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art. We are certainly proud to have acquired his amazing collection, as we also restore and sell antique lighting and love to share it with all of you who want true antique pieces that have historic personality in your homes and buildings.
