Description: Truly fabulous antique French dore gilt bronze hinged box with multicolor cloisonne on lid and a large brilliant faceted aqua glass jewel on each side. The square box stands on 4 neoclassical style feet and has beaded dot edges around the cloisonne top. On each of the 4 sides there is a cobalt blue enamel elongated diamond shape with the fancy prong-set 1" oval aqua glass stone in center. Box is 5-1/2" square and 3-1/2" tall with inner depth of 2-1/2". Inside box is painted and there is spot where it has been scratched off, like someone wanted to see metal underneath. Outside of box is all very good, no damage to cloisonne enamel on lid and all 4 jewels very good. Simply exquisite and big enough to make a statement in any setting. Actual weigh is 2.5lbs
