Description: Frame this set of antique animal art illustrations by Ernest Evan Thompson and hang them as decor in a country house living room, farmhouse family room, or rustic cabin den. The set includes five (5) vintage lithograph prints of gophers and ground squirrels. Ernest Evan Thompson, aka Ernest Thompson Seton, was a noted wildlife artist, founder of the Woodcraft League of American and one of the founding pioneers of the Boy Scouts of America. The vintage color lithograph prints were printed by Trautmann, Bailey & Blampey, N.Y. Each plate is marked "Report of the Ornithologist, U.S. Department of Agriculture, 1892." The set of five (5) antique animals prints were removed from a damaged copy of the United States 1892 Report of the Secretary of Agriculture published in Washington, D.C. by the Government Printing Office. These are antique 19th century art prints taken from a book. They are in good condition showing wear consistent with their age and use including toning to the paper and a rough top edge.
