Description: Antique American Pewter Coffeepot, Rufus Dunham, Westbrook, ME., c. 1837 - 1861. The tall teapot or coffeepot is a fine example of American pewter. The teapot has an impressed mark on the underside of the base that reads, "R. DUNHAM". This is the mark of Rufus Dunham who worked out of Westbrook, ME from 1837 - 61. This mark is identified in Jacobs, page 87. DIMENSIONS: The pewter teapot is 11 9/16" H. x 5 1/8" W. x 10 3/8" L. from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle. CONDITION: The condition is very good with the wafer on the finial missing. There is some mild surface wear Just need cleaning. No dings or repairs noticed
