Set is in overall near fine condition. Exterior is clean with some minor age, shelf or use wear like rubs to the outer corner edges of the boards and spine. Upper page outer fore edges are gold gilded. Interiors of the books are very clean with only some very occasional, minor and marginal tatters. Books' bindings are tight and well intact and the books are complete with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing. Volume I totals 344 pages and Volume II totals 305 pages. Both volumes together weigh about 3 pounds and measure approximately 8 x 5 3/8 x 2 3/8 inches.
