Description: Estate Sale find. This antique likely American colonial miniature portrait painting depicts a gentleman in a wood frame. Appears to be a faint signature to the right of his tie. Tried photographing it, but wont show clearly. Unfortunately this had been stuck to a larger frame, and the old paper back, could not be removed. So if there was any info on that paper, it is unfortunately lost. The painting is small in size and has been signed by the artist. The subject of the painting is men and figures, with a colonial style and theme. The production technique of this painting is watercolor, and it is an original piece produced in the United States between 1750-1799. This painting is handmade and comes framed, ready to be displayed. It is a unique and valuable addition to any art collection. Condition: Good. Some paint loss in his coat, lower left. I do not see any visible cracks. Frame size is 2 X 2 1/4". Painting is approximately 1 1/2 1 3/4".
