Description: I am stumped by this one!! There is no signature or artist identification on this high quality print, which I believe is an aquatint but I could be wrong!! It is definitely done on very high quality paper!! There is a number on the lower left edge "No. 0900", and on the lower right edge there is a logo which is either "LAML", TAML", "LML", or "TML"!! In between it is titled in three languages, "Schmiede in Mecklenburg" (German), "Forge en Mecklembourg" (French), and "Forge en Mecklenburg" perhaps Italian!! It is also marked "Printed in Germany" along the bottom edge and definitely pre-dates WWII, but could also be as old as 19th Century!! There is also a number before the logo "SK2604CRu2"!! I found a possible artist for the original painting in German artist Georg Friedrich Kersting (1785-1847), who was the chief artist at Meissen Porcelain from 1818 until his death!! The print is in VERY GOOD+ condition with almost all the wear situated on the edges including a light stain on the bottom edge (see photo 4) and some very minor edge damage on the right edge (see photo 5)!! Properly matted, these will be hidden!! It is approx. 36" X 22" in size and will be shipped rolled in a mailing tube!! Please see my many other art and antique listings and email me with any questions!!
