Description: For sale is a rare creamware plate made by Wedgwood in the 19th century . It is hand painted superbly with a scene of two birds in a tree reminiscent of the Herend Rothschild design. There are also a number of butterflies, a beetle and an ant on the rim and the rest of the plate. Nice gold trim to the rim. The plate is superb and in good condition with a bit of wear to the central scene and the gold trim as shown in the pictures. It is marked underneath with the impressed name WEDGWOOD with something else impressed underneath I cannot make out. Probably a date code of some kind.
