The fender having two opposing Greyhound dogs or possibly whippets laying in what is called the polite paws position. Most likely French or English in origin. From a fine Victorian home near the capital region of Albany, New York. The fire fender was stored away for quite some time in a basement and shows a lot of green verdigris patina The fire defender is adjustable to various sizes going as far out as 48 inches wide. Needs a very good thorough buffing/polishing job and cleaning. Or leave it as it is for its wonderful antique aesthetic NOTE: we have taken pictures both indoors and outdoors.
