Description: Antique 1892 Home Altar of the Holy Family Confraternity in an Ornate Shadow Box FrameOn the card attached to the back it reads: "Home Altar of the Holy Family Confraternity Established by Apostolic Letters of Pope Leo XIII Dated June 14, 1892" The frame measures approx. 17 3/4" x 21 3/4" Considering the age of this, it is in great condition, there is one knick in the ornate gold detailing on the frame marked in the photo with a blue arrow, there is soiling on the fabric at the bottom of the frame, the paper backing behind the figures is bubbled in places but not torn, on the back of the frame it shows its age, 2 corners have been repaired with linen thread at some time (see close up photo), the corners are very sturdy with this repair and not visible on the front side, the single wire on the back holds the figures in place, the double wire holds the shadow box in place using two metal eyelets at either side of the frame, this comes from a non-smoking home CHECK PHOTOS CLOSELY AND PLEASE EMAIL ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BUYING, BUYER PAYS SHIPPING, CHECK OUT OUR OTHER LISTINGS AT THIS TIME!!
