Description: ANTIQUE CIRCA 1830s ERA, AH&S - AARON HADFIELD / HATFIELD & SONS, SHEFFIELD, ENGLANDSILVERPLATED FIDDLE / TIPT MOTIF PATTERN, LARGE 8-1/2" LONG DINNER FORK IT IS ENGRAVED ON THE BACK, TOTAL WEIGHT OF 86.4 GRAMS It is engraved on the back with what appears to be the figure of an arm with rolls in the hand, otherwise, it shows light wear from use and aging, including minor surface marks, scratches, and very light plating loss in a few spots. It has been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned in a mild dish soap, and it has nice shine, is very clean, and is table ready. It is straight, not bent, with no major issues at all. It is hallmarked on the back AH &S (fleur de lis) A EP, mark for listed British silversmith Aaron Hadfield / Hatfield & Sons (c. 1808-1841) of Sheffield, England. This is a really great, very collectible and more hard to find piece for those that collect unique English silver, you have family ties to this maker, or you have other flatware from this pattern!
