Description: HEY, WELCOME TO MY STORE Anthurium Purple Rare flowers rooted Cuttings Houseplant Shade Plant house Anthuriums aren't the cheapest houseplants you can buy, especially when you compare them to other houseplants you'll be storing next to them. However, they are certainly exotic and striking houseplants and despite the price tag, the relatively simple care requirements are worth the money. Plants belonging to the Anthurium family, in general, come from the tropical regions of South America and grow in warm and humid environments. Keeping some of these tropical plants as indoor plants can be challenging as this is not always the natural environment in our homes or workplaces. So you'll usually only find a few of the easier species sold as houseplants. The most popular and common species are Anthurium andrianum and Anthurium chercianum, which have long-lasting flowers that look good for months. Therefore, it is not unusual for these plants to bloom almost continuously. Bright waxy bold flowers hover for months on contrasting green leaves, they are good value and sure to have many fans. Less common varieties skip the flowers and focus instead on the leaves. Anthurium Clarinervium, Anthurium Crystallinum and Anthurium Luxurians are three examples. These are usually classified as "rare anthurium houseplants" because they are hard to come by and can be expensive. However, they are in high demand, so more growers will sell them within a few years, at which point their visibility in stores can be expected to increase and prices to drop. The good news is that most anthuriums are epiphytes so they can withstand poor treatment and do well even in the hands of a beginner. Their leaves are usually leathery and tough and can withstand a variety of indoor growing conditions. They aren't really "easy care" plants and even seasoned houseplant owners can find them tricky at times, but if you have some experience with indoor gardening (or are interested in learning) you should be fine. They are very self-sufficient, so my top tip is not to mess them up too much. We're going to cover the most popular species available for sale in a little more detail soon, so you understand the differences before moving on to the care guide. Feel free to skip ahead. Painter's Palette (Anthurium Andreanum or Anthurium Antioquiensis) Of all the species, painter's palettes are one of the easiest to find in stores. As it is one of the most popular cut flowers in the world, you can easily recognize this plant when you see the picture below. The spathe and flower spike (spadix) can be red, white, cream, maroon or purple, or a combination of these. As new varieties with different colors have started to be marketed, the available selection is high. THANK YOU.
