Description: Rare 1979 Edition of Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine featuring tennis icon Vitas Gerulaitis on the cover. I attended the cover party in 1979, and found the magazine in its entirety years later stored in my attic. All pages are intact with no tears, with minor discoloration from aging. Andy Warhol and Truman Capote (who was featured in an article in this edition) hand-signed the cover. There is a third signature of someone I don't remember. I framed the whole magazine in a rather ornate, black lacquer frame with light blue matting. There is a chip on the bottom right side of the frame that I have not repaired. When looking for other comparable items to get a pricing estimate, I found one that had sold at auction for $2200, and one that is currently for sell for $2500. It really is a unique piece of pop culture!
