Anacharis Elodea Densa has long, thin roots that rapidly spread out once planted in a substrate. The plant may also grow when attached to decorations near the base of an aquarium, or when tethered at higher levels, but thrives when planted. This plant does very well in heavily-stocked aquariums and ponds, making use extra of ammonia and nitrates and growing quite rapidly when given ample light, providing one of the easiest forms of natural purification to your aquarium or pond. These plants are grown in a low-nutrient freshwater pond at 80F which makes for easy transplanting into aquariums and ponds,and does well when exposed to low light levels(newly-arrived plants should be slowly introduced to stronger aquarium lights.).This plant also grows quite well in the shade, making it a great option for low or natural light only setups.
