Description: Pre-20 postcard shows the theatre building in Olentangy Park, an amusement park in the Clintonville area of Columbus, Ohio. The park operated from 1880 to 1939. After the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis, the Dusenbury Brothers bought the Japanese Gardens exhibit and moved it to Olentangy Park, a quiet retreat from the rides and noise. The theatre was constructed near the river and, at the time, it was the largest theatre in the country. Postmarked 1918; excellent condition. Superlatives. Payment is due within 10 days of purchase. eBay Store: Bonnpon Postcards and Gifts Member, International Federation of Postcard Dealers Sunshine and Tropical Post Card Clubs We ship up to 4 postcards for one shipping fee... so keep shopping.
