Description: The blue 100 Algerian dinar note was introduced by the Central Bank of Algeria in 1981. It bears the signatures of Bank Governor Mahloud Aoufi and Secretary of the Public Treasury Hanifi Hamed. Its obverse side depicts a village with minarets with swallows flying around. Its reverse side portrays a man stooped between the ruins of ksar and two ships. The security features of the note include a solid security thread with printed B C ALGERIE and a watermark of Abd al-Qadir, the Algerian leader who led the resistance against the French invasion. Its dimensions are 157 mm by 72. The note was withdrawn from circulation in 2014.
