Description: About the artist: Alex Sanchez was born in 1969 and is of Navajo and Zuni heritage. He was born in Gallup, NM and has made his life there with his wife and three daughters. His technique is a wonderful blend of contemporary and traditional styles. Alex works in heavy gauge sterling and 14K gold. He chooses his stones carefully and works them into his petroglyph patterns. Alex has developed a flair for unique combinations of design and color. Alex has won awards at The Red Earth Show in Oklahoma, The Gallup Ceremonial, SWAIA Indian Market and the Navajo Nation Fair. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his girls and 4 grandsons. Hands down Alex Sanchez is my favorite Native American Artist! I love the detailed art designs in the silver work as well as the stamping he does on the back of his pieces. The green stone in this one is truly amazing! Just over 3” long including the bail, the width is just shy of 1 3/4”. The weight is 40 grams.
