Description: I have for sale a medal that commemorates the1886 200th anniversary of Albany, New York. The medal is made of white metal that is partially silver colored, it is two inches in diameter, in a high grade circulated condition but it does have a rim ding at the upper part of the rim. On one side it shows Peter Schuyler receiving the charter from Governor Thomas Dongan, while Robert Livingston is standing. In tiny letters, their names are below them. At the rim it reads PETER SCHUYLER RECEIVING THE CHARTER FROM GOVERNOR DONGAN - JULY 22, 1886. On the other side at the rim it reads IN COMMEMORATION OF THE TWO HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CITY OF ALBANY. In the center it shows a shield shape with a boat above and a ribbon below.
