Turning wick knob raises and lowers the wick raiser smoothly. No dings, dents, cracks, or other damage. Outer Wick Tube is shiny matching brass – usually they are nickel. And it does not have the usual stress crack. To preserve its lustrous finish after polishing, I dipped all the parts in high-quality musical instrument lacquer. Consequently, this burner should only be used for display.
