Description: I used this dehumidifier in my basement for several months and was extremely happy with it. In the winter, my basement flooded and the appliance was in 5-6 inches of water. The flooding was due to a power outage, so the dehumidifier was not on when it was flooded. The motor for the appliance is likely in the top, but I have not plugged it in or taken the machine apart to look further.
