Description: In the early nineties, Gatwick still had the variety and interest that resulted from its long-haul routes worldwide, using of course many of the first generation of wide-bodied airliners So, there is only one 747-400 among plenty of earlier versions. DC10s and Tristars also feature strongly. Filmed from the spectacular terraces on several occasions from 1991 to 1996, this DVD captures the final days of DanAir, as well as its takeover in 1992 by British Airways. 707s from three cargo operators and an equal number of BAC1-11s, plus 727s and 737-200s on short-haul services, provide a reminder of an era before the dominance of low cost carriers, with their rows of identical A320s or 737NGs. Run time is about 70 minutes. Format is NTSC DVD and region-free.
