Description: For sale is a neat folk art carved wood plaque feating a man with his hands up. Looks like its based off of the Abolitionist anti slavery image "Am I not a Man and a Brother?" Neat carving. Looks like it was done on a piece of found wood as the back is half painted. I assume the original piece of wood was partially painted. Looks like it is signed JH on the back. Came to me from a Western Folk Art collector but I don't know any history before that. Circa 1900. 8 and 1/8 inches tall. 5 and half inches wide. See can for scale. Condition: Nice condition. Shows some age related wear, especially to the points and edge. Some scratches too. No breaks. No repairs. All original. Good surface. See photos and video.
