These were purchased through McMaster Carr under part number 98404A430. Some of the bags however have the manufactures part number for AeroFast as part number C6-70R-303. All of the physical dimensions from both McMaster Carr and AeroFast are the exact same. It is our belief that these were manufactured by AeroFast for McMaster Carr. These use a spring loaded ball (316 SS) that compresses when a significant force is exerted to either insert or remove the pin. The pin remains in position during normal applications. These are used in many aviation, automotive and machining operations where a quick change of a form, mold or restraint is needed. The breaking strength is 11,000 pounds (Breaking strength is measured as single shear, which is the force required to break the pin into two pieces.)
