Description: This adorably charming character baby is marked "Kammer & Reinhardt" on the rim and 32 at the base of her neck. This is an early doll from K*R, before they joined with Simon & Halbig, and without the typical "Germany" incision. The 32 refers to her size which is 13-inches tall with a 10-inch head circumference. Her head is fine bisque with no chips, cracks or imperfections. and delightfully painted! She is on a 5-piece composition baby body in good condition, with some damage, the left arm was reglued in the elbow area, there are some patches where the original finish has rubbed off, there are green markings on her lower body from an old green corduroy pant. Please see photos. Beautiful blue-grey glass sleep eyes, that open & close perfectly! The human hair eyelashes have been worn off. Lovely skin tone, she has lushly painted upper & lower eyelashes, glossy multi-stroke eyebrows with fly-away inner corners. Beautiful, rosy, cheeks. Her lips are perfectly shaped, and she has two upper celluloid teeth with an inset wobble tongue. She comes with her original medium brown mohair wig. I just removed her original pate and found she has a metal mechanism for her sleep eyes, this is rare! She is a beautiful little doll in GREAT condition, from around 1900.
