It helped to shape the paper or card a bit first by pressing without foil.The handle is not the original. I have taped some thin shim on the base to keep a die resting plate level. It comes with the roll holder which takes 3 inch wide rolls of foil. It adjusts for height of the object being stamped and the feed length if using the roller system.
