Description: A Wileman (Shelley) Gothic pattern No 3484 Victoria shape tea cup & saucer. C.1882. Pattern No 3484: Transfer printed sepia coloured gothic design on a white ground. Gilt trims. Entered into pattern book during or after 1882. The back stamp is the 1884-1895 mark. The shape of this cup & saucer is the Victoria shape which was produced between 1882 & 1922. Dimensions: diameter of cup base 44mm (1.75 inches) / diameter across top of cup 75mm (3 inches) / height of cup 69mm (2.75 inches) / diameter of saucer 138mm (5.5 inches). Condition: Both pieces are in very good clean condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Some minor rubbing to the gilt trims commensurate with age. Both pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
