It has a trench for water at the bottom and places where water can run down from layer to layer.However, I have never seen it work and don't know whether it will. I see there is a place for batteries andan off/on switch. I don't have any hoses for it or see where any would hook up to it on the outside, so Iguess they all must be inside. You probably just have to pour a glass of water in the lower external trench.It has a rainbow in the back. Because I don't know whether it works I am selling it primarily as decor.Positives:Those things stated above would interest a child and help you keep their attention while you teach them. Negatives:It is not accurate as the Bible describes the event. The ark is described as a box, not a boat. And all ofthe people and animals were under a roof. No one could be out on a deck.And 8 people were on the ark - Noah, his wife, his sons and his sons' wives.
