Description: This adorable portrait of a young Girl, a Southern Belle to be.. was purchased at a local estate. She is painted beautifully, wearing a frilly light blue dress with cream under blouse and holding a posy of Pink Peace Roses. The Artists signature is painted faintly in brown paint at the bottom of the right hand corner and I can just make out 48.. hence my thinking she was painted in 1948...
