A Hoosier Holiday by Theodore Dreiser ( 1916, HC, Read Description)

Description: A good condition hardcover copy of 'A Hoosier Holiday' by Theodore Dreiser. I believe this copy to be a First Edition that has been rebound. Part of the original front cover appears to have been trimmed and pasted on the front. It appears to have been a good quality rebinding, with gold gilding to the text and graphics on the spine. The outside of the book does have some rub wear along the edges. There appear to be some darker stain spots on the original trimmed cover portion. Inside there is no writing or markings to any of the pages, as well as no major folds. There is tanning to the original pages, as well as some sort of darker staining along the top edge, and some of the side edges, of most of the illustrated pages. It feels as though there is some waviness to the pages near the binding, likely from heat. There are some minor smears and smudges to some of the pages. The back free end paper and the back side of the final page don't open quite all the way because of binding glue, but there is no text on the pages. Overall still a very readable copy with some superficial cosmetic wear from age, but no major issues. Shipped via USPS Media Mail.
