A very nice example of the first printing of the first edition. Original cloth hardback with the original dustwrapper. 458 pages. 8.75 by 6 inches. The dustwrapper is not price clipped, showing the original 15s price to the inside front flap. It is in attractive condition with some wear and creasing to the edges, with some tape repair to inner surface (see pictures). The book itself is in pleasing condition, with some bumping to the corner tips gilt titles remaining bright (see pictures). Clean and free of inscriptions. Some toning to prelims and page edges, Binding sound and square. A very nice example. Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham (1852-1936) was a Scottish politician, writer and adventurer. Educated at Harrow, and in Brussels and moved to Argentina where became known as a great adventurer and gaucho, and became known as Don Roberto.
